Primary responsibility is to process loan applications in a proactive and timely manner from receipt into processing status through funding or final disposition. This includes gathering needed and complete information and documentation from consumers, loan officers and third parties so that when loan is submitted to underwriting the loan is approved with minimal conditions. Individual in this position will be responsible to effectively manage a pipeline of 30 loans and close a minimum of 10 loans per month. This position is responsible to partner with 4 to 8 loan officers and collaborate with underwriters and closers to originate process and close quality loans in a timely manner. Individual in this position utilizes business and collaborative skills to successfully motivate consumers, loan officers and third parties to provide necessary documentation timely to close quality loans.
This person exhibits desirable and professional behavior and teamwork in accomplishing individual, team, division and company goals. This position does not have credit approval signing authority. However the position has responsibility to sign off certain tasks and conditions.

Client Services Advocate

Position Purpose:
Responsible for assigned pipeline management and ownership of the customer service experience from submission through funding. Maintain and communicate loan status to Account Executives, Brokers and Secondary as needed. Provide clerical or other assistance as needed to facilitate the movement of loan files to the appropriate department. Proactively pull loans through with a focus on reducing cycle times.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

Act as a relationship manager and the one point of contact for the Broker Partner once the loan file has been submitted.

Ability to maintain a pipeline of a minimum of 80-120 loans including Conventional, FHA, and VA.

Review and monitor loan pipeline on a daily basis per CSA contact grid. Communicate loan status to Account Executives and Broker Partners. Notate LOS with current activity or status. Daily condition call out for loans for outstanding prior to doc conditions and partial conditions received.

Prepare and forward denied files to office services for storage.

Complete cancelled files: including noting reason for cancellation in LOS notes, updating status/date, printing cancelled form for the file and forwarding file for storage.

Performs other duties as assigned, including assisting other team members and Brokers as needed.
Qualifications
Experience and Knowledge:
-
Minimum three years in a mortgage environment.
-
Minimum one year as a loan processor or account manager, preferably with multiple investors.
-
Exposure to underwriting guidelines and rate sheets preferred.
-
Strong customer service skills.
-
Ability to move between tasks quickly is preferred; being able to respond to pressure situations easily.
-
FHA and VA experience preferred.
-
Basic mathematic skills.
-
Prior experience with MS Office (word, excel, outlook) required.

Prior use of mortgage software needed, preferably Datatrac and Calyx Point.

Submission Specialist

Position Purpose:
Facilitates the setup of new loan submissions and coordinates incoming documentation with appropriate departments.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

Review new loan submissions to confirm they are 2010 RESPA compliant.

Communicates the loans status and/or directly requests needed items needed from brokers partners

Review files for minimum submission requirements.

Corresponds with brokers for missing information.

Prepare and mail/email upfront disclosures within compliance.

Order Loansafe, Flood Cert and MERS on each loan.

Responsible for preparing and submitting loan closing packages within established guidelines. Strong knowledge of loan products, underwriting guidelines, escrow/title practices, as well as regulatory compliance laws as they apply to mortgage transactions. Auditing of loan documents/ funding packages for completeness and accuracy.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

Reviews loan packages for completeness, accuracy and preparation of closing documents that adhere to loan approval, lock confirmation, product guidelines, insurance requirements and state and federal regulations

Program Content
There are two main components to the MA Program: Core Training and Job-Specific Training. The Core Training is a combination of classroom training, self-study, and web-based training. Job-Specific Training is on the job learning to perform to day-to-day responsibilities for various departments at First California Mortgage.
