Lou has over ten years of experience in the mortgage industry. He spent three years as a loan officer and five years as branch manager (60 loan officers). Lou became Vice President and eventually became partner in his own mortgage company and recently moved back into production. He has the experience and skills necessary to find the right loan program unique to each client’s needs.

Lou graduated from Northwood University, making the Dean’s List with a bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis on Marketing, Management and Advertising. He was a past member of the Colorado Association of Mortgage Bankers and past Board Member of the Society of Mortgage, Appraisal, Realtor and Title Professionals.

Lou has received various awards, such as the 2009 and 2010 Presidents Gold Award, 2009 and 2010 Voted 5280 Magazine's Top 1% in Colorado

On what he finds most rewarding:
"I like watching the smiles on the faces of my clients at the closing table as they realize they just bought a home. It is very rewarding and fun. Hearing my clients say, 'You made this easier than we thought it was going to be'.”

What impresses him about First Cal:

"I believe in the saying 'you have to give to get.' If you treat all of your clients with respect and always do the right thing for them you will succeed happily."

On who has inspired him:
"I am inspired daily by my kids and their unabridged desire to learn. Their kisses send me off daily, their hugs greet me nightly. My wife continues to amaze me daily as 'super mom, super wife, super friend!' Life inspires me to find and do the best I can in all my daily activities."

On his priorities:
"Integrity! Do the right thing even when nobody is watching. It will permeate to everything you do and define who you are."

How he spends his free time:
"I love to coach and teach my kids – sports, riding bikes, etc. I am a certified scuba instructor and I love all water sports, skiing, golf, tennis and cooking. I am also pretty good on the grill…."
